Day 7 of 100 2

6:30 AM

Dogs woke me up early again.  Beginning to wonder if they’ll ever let me sleep past 6:00.  At least it wasn’t 5:00 I suppose.  Shawn went back to bed.  I wish I could do that.  Once I’m up…I’m up.  So, a cup of coffee and checking stuff online for a few…

9:00 PM

Yep…it’s been a busy day.  I haven’t even sat down to blog all day long.   We spent the morning at Costco.  It was a successful trip, but expensive.  It didn’t help that we added the cost of the membership renewal to the bill.  But, we’re stocked up now and I hopefully don’t need to go to the store for a week or two.  Grocery shopping is one of my least favorite things to do.

We got home around 1:00, so I grabbed a quick lunch.  A few slices of turkey breast, some cherry tomatoes, and some garlic stuffed olives.  Yum!  Then we headed outside to work around the yard.  I walked the garden and fruit orchard to see if there was any damage from our unexpected frost last night.  Thankfully I just lost a few seedlings in the garden.  I’ll replant them this week.  The fruit is coming along very nicely.  Blueberry bush is bursting with buds, pear & peach trees too!  And the grape vines are all sprouting their leaves.

Shawn was going to push mow the ditch along the road while I used the zero turn to mow around the fruit trees and house.  But, the zero turn didn’t want to work.  So I ended up push mowing one side of the ditch, and around all the fruit trees while he tore apart our zero turn to try to figure out what was wrong.  He didn’t figure it out, so we’ll be calling a repair guy.   Then he did some big mowing with the bush hog on the tractor.  We cut down some (small) pine trees that I’ll take over to the goats tomorrow.  And, boom, it was already 5:00 and time for dinner!!  I cooked up some sausage and eggs.  I make it all in the iron skillet like a pie, so it has a sausage crust and an egg top loaded with veggies.  It’s one of our favorites, and there’s enough for breakfast for a couple days now too!

After dinner, I spent about an hour reading my next chapter and studying for EMT.  confession: I ate about a dozen jelly beans while I studied.  Then hung out with Shawn and pups watching a bit of TV and just relaxing.  And here it is, 9:00 and we’re both ready for bed.

No gym time today, but still managed 11,000+ steps.  I drank lots of water today.  I can’t remember what I had for breakfast, or if I skipped it.  That’s not good.  Ooops.  Nutrition today wasn’t spectacular, but not bad either.

Tomorrow I’m heading over to my friends farm in the morning…then I’ll run when I get home.

All right! We’re on board! Got my pedometer going. For supper, elk burger sloppy joes. No white sugar in the coffee this morning. A little honey and a little stevia. Heidi’s getting into it too! Went and bought mini rebounder trampoline. With this weather in Ohio… Snow, rain, dry, more snow…. Need to burn the energy off inside! Too muddy outside! She just bounces and bounces and bounces! Lol
